Botox®, Azzalure® and Bocouture®
Botox, Azzalure and Bocouture injections are the most popular choice of non-surgical anti-ageing treatments. The procedure involves injecting just a few millilitres of the product into the desired muscle which, in turn, blocks the nerve signals. One to two weeks later results are visible - the muscles no longer contract, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the skin. This treatment also aids the prevention of future lines and wrinkles, as they are less likely to form due to reduced movement.
This short procedure, which requires very little downtime (although exercise is discouraged for up to 48 hours) can be used to target frown, brow and forehead lines, the glabella, crow’s feet, chin lines as well as treat conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and migraines. It can even be used to address gummy smiles.
Expect results to last up to 3 or 4 months, but evidence shows that after multiple treatments clients may experience a cumulative effect and find they need to ‘top-up’ less often.
